First-Class Mail status is available through the Send Inmate Mail panel. The barcode used for these updates may not be recognized on USPS.com. Other eligible USPS services can also be followed on USPS.com when a standard USPS tracking number is provided.

A Delivered status generally means the item reached the correctional facility, mailroom, or authorized receiving agent. The facility may need additional time to inspect and distribute the letter.

While messages sent through any online service can technically be accessed by platform systems, we never read or review your private letters. Our sole focus is printing and delivering your mail accurately and on time. Please do not include notes intended for our support team inside your letters, as they will not be seen. Because we do not inspect your mail content, users remain fully responsible for ensuring their messages comply with facility guidelines and contain no prohibited content..

The Send Inmate Mail website and customer account are available online 24/7. Orders submitted on weekends or USPS holidays may be prepared for mailing on the next available business day.

Add funds to your account using an available payment method, then select Pay with Account Balance at checkout. Adding funds is optional; you may also pay the full order total directly at checkout.

You may request cancellation while your letter is still being prepared. If the order has already been printed or submitted for mailing, the available refund amount may depend on its current processing stage. Once USPS has accepted the mail, cancellation or recovery may no longer be possible. Check the options shown in Sent Items or contact support as soon as possible.

Yes. Letters enter the printing stage anywhere from a few minutes to a day after your order is placed. As long as your letter has not yet been printed, you can request edits.

Simply log into your account, go to Sent Items, and check if the Request Edit button next to your letter is active:

1. Click Request Edit and wait 5–10 minutes.

2. Your letter will return to your Drafts folder for editing, and your payment will be refunded to your account wallet.

3. Once you finish your changes, re-submit your letter at checkout using the Pay with Balance option.

Note: Once a letter has been printed and entered the postal phase, edits are no longer possible, and the edit button will be disabled..

Standard letters start at $5, and 4 x 6-inch photos start at $1.50 each. Prices for additional pages, documents, postcards, books, international mailing, and expedited USPS services vary by selection. Your complete order total is shown before payment.

Your Virtual Mailbox gives you a U.S. mailing address and a unique mailbox number for receiving replies from an incarcerated loved one. When a letter arrives, we securely scan it and upload the pages to your account for online viewing.

There is no monthly or annual subscription. The fee to open and view each received letter is $5.
