Facility Mailing and Service Information

TDCJ includes all units in its statewide digital-mail program. General personal mail is sent to the Digital Mail Processing Center, scanned, and delivered to the inmate's secure tablet. Inmates without tablets receive black-and-white printed copies.

Use the inmate's commitment full name, TDCJ number, and current unit of assignment. TDCJ states that mail missing the inmate number or full name will be returned.

Written correspondence, greeting cards, drawings, and photos are accepted for scanning. Legal, media, special correspondence, and other categories identified by TDCJ are sent directly to the unit.
